Morocco

Ah Morocco,

Where do I start, the beautiful country that stole my heart; much like Egypt did. Countries in the continent of Africa have something so different and so special about them.

7 days was all it took for me to decide that this country was somewhere I would visit over and over again. The people, the food and the culture mesmerised me.

The People: - Moroccan people are hands down up there with some of the kindest and most warm welcoming people. No matter your skin colour, religious background or age, you are welcomed with open arms. Their main focus is ensuring that you have the best holiday and you enjoy their country as much as they do.

The Food: - Yum! Every part of it. A tradition in Morocco is to partake in a "Moroccan Breakfast", mainly consists of bread and an array of argan oils, honeys and jams, all accompanied by the beautiful Moroccan tea which I believe is a blend of green tea, mint leaves and sometimes sugar but not always.

The Culture: - As said previously, the culture surrounding Morocco is extremely welcoming and hospitable. Souks are also very popular in Morocco, souks are a sort of market that sells everything but the kitchen sink - maybe even the kitchen sink. Clothes, chicken and fish, shoes and jewellery. You want it, they probably have it.

While in Morocco we got a chance to visit the "Kasbah" (known as a rare survivor of the 1960 earthquake), which allowed us to see Morocco from high. The Kasbah hosted amazing views and even more amazing history.

We were also able to visit the local Marina, adorned with assorted fish and endless restaurants and retails shops; much like you would get in the UK, i.e. Zara.

Finishing off the day at "Mosquée Mohamed V" which was beyond breathtaking, leaving everyone on the tour speechless in a sense. Sadly we did not enter the mosque to admire the magnitude from the inside but the outside was beautiful enough to make up for it.

Quad Biking and visiting a private island called "Paradise Valley" were also excursions we had during our trip.

Quads - Can I just say by the way, I AM BORN TO QUAD BIKE, I did it in Egypt and loved it so I was buzzing to go again, a 2 hour trip around the city, taking a break at the seaside and visiting a house for the amazing Moroccan
breakfast again. Dream.

Paradise Valley - Insanely beautiful, basically a hike, won't lie. Worth it though. Surrounded by waterfalls and endless cliffs, as well as rivers and streams ready to be swam in. Cliff jumping also takes place in Paradise Valley, but I'm a chicken so I passed on that one😂.

All in all, I fell in love with Morocco, I WILL be going back annually, come with me maybe?

Let me know if you've been to Morocco, I'd love to know what you thought about it.

Until next time lovelies.

K x
